July 18, 2024 IRVINE, Calif. -- CTC Global is pleased to announce the expansion of its Board of Directors with the addition of two distinguished industry veterans, Ms. Miranda Ballentine and Mr. Jim Laurito.
Ms. Miranda Ballentine, a proven leader in clean energy and sustainability, brings a wealth of experience from roles including CEO of Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) and former Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Installations, Environment, & Energy), among others. Recognized for remarkable leadership in the TIME100 Climate list of Most Influential Climate Leaders in Business, as an operator, Ms. Ballentine oversaw $9 Billion energy budgets, $4.5 Billion infrastructure budgets, and has been responsible for $17 Million P&Ls. Ballentine was recently appointed by the Secretary of Energy, Hon. Jennifer Granholm, to be a member of the inaugural board of directors for the Congressionally authorized Foundation for Energy Security & Innovation, where she currently serves as the Board Chair. With a passion for fostering diverse leadership and advancing clean energy solutions, Ms. Ballentine continues to make profound impacts on national security, economic prosperity, and climate action while bringing a strong aptitude for building culture, teams, and people.
Mr. James Laurito brings over 25 years of extensive experience in the U.S. gas and electric utility sectors. His career highlights include senior leadership roles at Fortis, notably as Executive Vice President of Business Development and as President and CEO of Fortis’ Central Hudson Gas & Electric subsidiary. He also held significant positions as President & CEO of New York State Electric & Gas and Rochester Gas & Electric, both subsidiaries of Iberdrola & Energy East. Mr. Laurito's contributions extend to serving as a former Director of the Edison Electric Institute. Currently, Mr. Laurito serves on the board of ITC, a prominent independent transmission asset developer, owner, and operator. He is also a Director of the Bowman Consulting Group, where he chairs the Compensation Committee, and serves as a Trustee of the American Gas Foundation, having previously chaired the organization. Additionally, Mr. Laurito holds director roles at Stone Mountain Technologies, Inc. and serves as an Operating Partner at Energy Impact Partners, LP. Mr. Laurito frequently addresses energy transition issues in speaking engagements across the United States.
