Providien Medical (“Providien”) was a leading supplier of clinically superior medical devices and advanced manufacturing solutions for the medical device and life sciences industries. Providien completed four acquisitions: Dynaroll Corporation (Sylmar, CA), a leading supplier of bearings and a contract manufacturer specializing in precision manufacturing, assembly and testing of advanced components for medical devices; Specialty Manufacturing, Inc. (San Diego, CA), a provider of plastic thermoformed component manufacturing, engineering and design services to the medical equipment marketplace; Integra Biotechnical (Carlsbad, CA) – formerly Plastics Engineering & Development, Inc. – a vertically integrated medical device contract manufacturer that provides engineering, injection molding and assembled finished, sterile goods to leading medical device and pharmaceutical OEMs and Access Scientific (San Diego, CA), a vascular access medical device company. While Access Scientific remained a separate stand alone company, the other companies were successfully integrated and demonstrated strong annual revenue growth.
